Me and my wife will be permanently moving to Toronto by the end of July. We have been staying in Halifax, NS for about 6-7 years now. We've stayed in various places before, from the suburbs to the busiest street in Halifax (10 mins to downtown). I have done an extensive research of the places to avoid in Toronto, and just to name a few: Jane & Finch, Parkdale, Entertainment District (pretty much anything from Queen St W down south, and all the way to parliament st. ), Lawrence and Jane, Cabbage Town, Thorncliffe park, O'connor-Woodbine-St Claire, Flemingdon Park, from Sheppard-Victoria-Steeles. . The golf area, and etc. Now, are there any particularly safe/quiet area in TO that I should look into? I have shortlisted some apartments above Highpark, and some along Yonge St, Bloor-Yonge, Bayview Village, and Broadview Ave. Thanks. I would add to your avoid list: Rexdale/Etobicoke North, Malvern, Birchmount/Finch. As for good areas, it would help if you gave us an estimate of your rental/purchase budget because that will ultimately be the defining factor. As you are aware, real estate is all about location, location, location. But generally speaking, without having any details about what you look for in a good neighbourhood (your budget, good schools, proximity to transit, adequate parking, larger houses, etc) here are some neighbourhoods I would recommend: Yonge-Eglinton/Chaplin Estates area, Leaside, Lawrence Park, North York Centre, Riverdale, Kingsway/Old Mill, Bloor West Village, Roncesvalles Village, Little Italy, Beaches, the Annex, and Moore Park. The most sought-after neighbourhoods, like Rosedale, Bridle Path and Forest Hill, are also the most expensive, with houses going for millions of dollars. In many of the neighbourhoods I listed, you should expect to pay a minimum of $800,000.

A town is conducting a survey to determin if the residents would use a new recreation facility. The survey must represent all several kinds of people whoever live in the town. The survey locations were a golf course a day care center and a shopping mall. Every 5th person was asked to take part in the survey. Whick of the 3 locations would provide the lease amount of bias? Explain. I was happy to learn… The shopping mall is likely to be your best bet. Since the survey is an evaluation of a recreation facility, both a golf course and a daycare center would give a very specific segment of the population, whereas the mall would be more likely to have a mixture of population segments (age, race, gender, etc. ) Best of luck.
