Golf Practice Nets
Every time that my boyfriend and I go shopping and go to a sports store or somewhere that has golf things he always looks at the golf practice nets. His birthday is coming up and I was wondering are the golf practice nets something that golfers use and do they help? He loves golf and I already got him a couple of other items but I was looking at these. Any help is appreciated and any other ideas for items golfers use is also appreciated. Do you know what I found? If he is looking at them. . He probably wants one. Some folks do use them a lot.
I made one out of a heavy blanket I had in the basement,a piece of wash line or rope and two poles or trees close together. Work's fine. . .
these nets have their uses but can give a wrong indication as to where the ball is going as only the first few feet of travel is known
YES. get him 1 , id love to have one, they help a lot, but generally for people who dont have a big back yard, its great for practicing at home. . . good idea!!
A net sounds good at first, but unless you have no where else to practice, they're a waste. You can completely screw up your swing because you have no idea on the ball flight (i. e. , which direction it is turning when in the air), and no idea on distance.
I would ONLY recommend them for warming up before a round if the golf course he's going to doesn't have a driving range. Otherwise, I would skip it if I were you.
I have had a net for the past few years. They also make artificial grass mats to hit off of so you don't destroy large areas of your lawn. My scores continue to drop and its way cheaper then going to a range each day. I would highly recommend getting him one.
